ITINERARY
Day 1: Kilcay - Huayllabamba

Day one begins at Kilometer 82, where trekkers start their journey. The trail is relatively easy and passes through the agricultural landscapes and the archaeological site of Patallacta, where visitors can see remnants of ancient structures. The scenery gradually transitions from agricultural land to mountain vegetation. Altitud: - Starting Altitude: 2,700 m (8,858 feet) at Kilcay - Ending Altitude: 3,000 m (9,842 feet) at Huayllabamba - Distance: Approximately 12 km (7.5 miles)

Day 2: Huayllabamba - Warmiwañusca  - Pacaymayo

This day is the most challenging of the trek, featuring a long ascent to Warmiwañusca Pass, which offers spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. After reaching the highest point, there is a descent into the valley of Pacaymayo. Altitud: - Starting Altitude: 3,000 m (9,842 feet) at Huayllabamba - Maximum Altitude: 4,215 m (13,779 feet) at Warmiwañusca - Ending Altitude: 3,600 m (11,811 feet) at Pacaymayo Distance: Approximately 11 km (6.8 miles)

Day 3: Pacaymayo - Runkurakay Pass - Sayacmarca - Phuyupatamarca

The third day starts with a climb toward Runkurakay Pass, where there are archaeological ruins. The trail includes several sections, passing through Sayacmarca and finally arriving at the area of Phuyupatamarca, known for its misty surroundings where clouds appear to float close to the summit. Day 4: Intipunku (Sun Gate) - MachuPicchu - Ollantaytambo - Cusco

The final day begins early with a hike to the Sun Gate (Inti Punku), where you’ll witness the breathtaking first views of Machu Picchu as the sun rises over the Andes. From here, we descend to the lost city of the Incas, entering through the main gate for a guided tour of Machu Picchu. Our expert guide will lead you through the most important temples, plazas, and terraces, sharing fascinating insights into the history and significance of this Wonder of the World. After exploring, we take a bus down to Aguas Calientes, where you’ll enjoy a well-deserved lunch. In the afternoon, we board the train to Ollantaytambo, where our private transportation will be waiting to take you back to Cusco, marking the end of an unforgettable adventure. This site is known for its impressive water canals and terraces. 5.
